Sheikh Abdel Monem is currently volunteering to lead the prayers, teach various classes and serve the community to learn more about Islam.
Every Friday evening after the last prayer of the day “Isha”, Imam Abdel MONEM animates a friendly open Q&A Halaqa (Arabic for circle) with the congregates. It is the perfect opportunity for you as much as it is for the congregates to ask anything about Islam; anything one wanted to know about Islam but was too shy to ask. In the previous Halaqat (circles), the questions ranged from basic to detailed to philosophical. We would love for you to stop by and join these informative Q&A circles. You can proceed to the prayer hall. If the congregational prayer is in progress, please have a seat, be patient as you wait for the circle to start.

A friend of mine is throwing herself a birthday party at a nightclub. Am I allowed to go as long as I still observe hijab? Can I not go to birthday parties at all? Will I have to change my entire circle of friends who celebrate their birthdays?

I’m wondering if Alsheaq Abdulmonem has Altajwed classes for adults or not. we really like to start altjwad with him with groups or even privat.

Will Sheikh Abdel Monem be restarting adult Quran tajweed/memorization classes? If not, then is it possible to arrange for private lessons with him?
Correction regarding QIYAM schedule:
QIYAM (Night prayers) is every other Saturday (twice a month)
There was a QIYAM today Saturday Jan 2, 2010 at 4:30am-Fajr
Next QIYAM is planned on Saturday Jan 16, 2010 at 4:30am-Fajr
how about women if they want to ask any question how they get in touch with cheikh abdel moneim

Dear hajar, salam ~ the open circle Q&A includes women as well. So you’re welcome to ask questions right there. The sheikh makes sure to prompt the women as well. Also, if you prefer you may write a question on paper and a messenger will make sure to pass it along to the sheikh.
Night prayers are on Saturdays every four weeks. The next time will be this coming Saturday January 2, 2010 at 4:30am until Fajr (around 6am)
