Sunday Lecture Jan 16, 2011: “Keeping Muslim Children Muslims: Challenges & Solutions” by Imam Abdul Malik Mujahid

It’s not easy being a young Muslim today

  • 75% said they or someone they know have been discriminated against. (Zogby Poll)
  • 28% of Muslim students report being stopped by the police as a result of racial profiling. (Columbia University)
  • 7% said they have been physically assaulted

Where are Muslim youth today?
Unfortunately, more than 95 percent of Muslim youth are neither in a Masjid nor in Islamic schools.
Imam Abdul Malik Mujahid will present the alarming findings of the last six month of research and analysis about what our youth are going through and will offer some strategic insights for the community to adopt.
