Daniel was born and raised in Houston, Texas and came to
Boston to pursue undergraduate studies at Harvard, where he
majored in Physics and minored in Philosophy. He is currently
a graduate student in Philosophy at Tufts University. He is
an “intermediate” student of sacred knowledge and has
begun his study of the religious sciences under various
shuyukh, most notably Shaykh Taha Abdul-Basser. He also
works as the Director of Education and Outreach for
Straightway Ethical Advisory, an Islamic Finance consulting
group. He currently lives with his wife
in Medford, Massachusetts.
