On Imam Ibrahim Rahim
Imam Ibrahim Rahim is a graduate of the Islamic University of Medina, Saudi Arabia Class of 1989. Imam Ibrahim completed the Intermediate and Secondary Institutes as well as the world-renown Arabic Language Program within the Faculty of Arabic Language founded by Dr. F Abdur-Raheem. Imam Ibrahim also is known for his Quran recitation and attended the Khalil Ar-Rahman Quran Academy in Al-Medina Al-Munawwara. Imam Ibrahim also attended the Haram Mosque of Mecca Al-Mukarrama where he further advanced in his Quranic Recitation.
After eight years of study in the Prophet’s City Al-Medina, Imam Ibrahim returned to Boston where he worked as an associate Imam at Masjid Al-Quran in Dorchester, MA until 2011 when he retired from Associate Imam Responsibilities. Over the span of 22 years, Imam Ibrahim worked diligently to share his knowledge with the Muslim Community of Boston and also travelled the nation sharing his knowledge as a Muslim Lecturer.
For 22, years Imam Ibrahim led the Taraweeh Prayers in Boston at Masjid Al-Quran where he presided as the Qari each year in Ramadan.
In his semi-retirement days, Imam Ibrahim has focused his efforts on writing his knowledge and travelling to teach and provide training within Muslim Communities. In 2011 alone, Imam Ibrahim completed five books on the religion of Islam including literary work regarding Arabic Grammar, Tefsir of the Holy Quran, Tauheed, Womanhood in Islam, and an analysis of Iman as given in the Hadith Collection of Imam Muslim (M).
Imam Ibrahim is dedicated to contributing to the Muslim American Effort as a travelling scholar and trainer in assistance to any communities that require his expertise. A website with his writing and life-ministry is under development and will launch in spring of 2012.
Imam Ibrahim is currently working with the families of the “South Shore Quran Review” where he offers Tefsir of the Holy Quran and trains families in Quranic Recitation on Fridays in Stoughton, Ma. Imam Ibrahim’s favorite saying is: “Traveling Through A strange Place, On My Way Back To Allah.”
