Yusuf Mosque is a place of worship, socializing and education serving the needs of the Muslim community in Allston, Brighton and surrounding towns: Cambridge, Brookline, Newton and the city of Boston. The Mosque is envisioned to be, with your participation and support, a center of education, peace promotion and understanding. We hope our Mosque will not only nurture a growing Muslim community in the area but will also foster interfaith relations.

Support the 1431 AH (2010) Ramadan IFTAR Program

To plan and prepare for the daily Iftar program at YUSUF MOSQUE we need your financial support. Based on our experience from Ramadan of last year 2009, our first Ramadan at the mosque, we averaged about 60 people per dinner. Please be sincere and generous and donate to this program so we can cover the cost of the food, beverages, utility bills, cleaning and miscellaneous expenses during Ramadan. If we do not reach our fundraising goal we may limit the IFTAR dinners to weekends only.

Support the Bills & Utilities

Please help sustain and keep the mosque running safely by donating sincerely and generously to pay the monthly bills and utilities which include water, electricity, cooking gas, heat, AC, landscaping, snow removal, cleaning and audio-visual gear.

Support Sunday School

YUSUF MOSQUE is pleased to continue offering for your children the opportunity to learn how to read and write Arabic, how to recite the Quran properly, how to prepare for prayer and pray, and a warm and encouraging environment to memorize the last section of the Quran. The classes will be conducted weekly every Sunday morning. We have completed our first Sunday school year 2009/2010. There was one Level 1 in Fall 2009 and Level 1 & 2 in Spring 2010. We need to continue improving the program and with your financial support we will be able to provide more professional services. Please donate sincerely and generously.

Support the Library

The YUSUF MOSQUE Library provides materials and services to help community residents obtain information related to Islam meeting their personal, educational and professional needs. Special emphasis is placed on making available for adults volumes of traditional Islamic books, current reading materials and magazines geared towards Islam; on providing reference services to students (at all academic levels) and other information seekers; and on making facilities available for local individuals, organizations and agencies to do community work or training. The library serves as a learning and activities center for all residents of the Allston/Brighton/Brookline District and surrounding areas. Please consider donating sincerely and generously so we can acquire new material.

Support the Weekly Lecture Series

Please help sponsor, support and keep alive the Saturday Lecture Series by donating sincerely and generously. The lecture series are a platform that attract effective speakers from inside the Boston community as well as from outside. It is a place for the public to seek knowledge and understanding. The lectures are usually followed by a light dinner and refreshments.
