| 10:00 pm | to | 10:15 pm |
These mini talks are given in between the Taraweeh prayers every night at the mosque.
Tonight is the first in the series of moving lectures on the trully inspirational Companions of the Prophet Muhammed.
Dr. Basem starts off with a quick reminder on staying steadfast in your fasting and other recommended acts of worship because the doors of Janna are still open and to hope for Allah’s mercy as we approach one third of Ramadan. We will hear of the story of how a poor companion of Prophet Muhammed was praised by Allah in the Quran. We will hear one of the best stories of charity by this companion that Allah personally accepted through angel Gibreel. It gives us hope that wealth is not the only way of giving Sadaqa in Allah’s sake. Dr. Basem closed out the lecture with a poignant reminder of how we Muslims in the US have been chosen to carry his message, Alhamdulillah.
