We don't have a recording for this lecture, apologies.

The Sheikh mentioned a beautiful poetry verse that stayed with me. I will inquire about the exact words in Arabic next time, but the meaning summarized for me what the lecture was all about. The poetry states that those who are modest are like stars in the sky yet you see their reflection on water. That demonstrates their modesty, when you look in the water you see the star as if it is deep down in water, yet in reality it is way up there and far much bigger and majestic. The poetry also states that those who are not modest, who are arrogant, are like smoke. Smoke emits and forces itself up towards the sky but oftentimes it is unpleasant and people dislike it. Just like smoke, arrogant people are insubstantial, their outlook is unreal, and their agendas and actions are transitory.
